Mr Calvert; rest in peace

We were all deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Mr Calvert, our head of IT, over the weekend.

We appreciate this time can, and will, be hard for all, as we mourn the loss of a fantastic teacher, colleague, and friend.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, and all those who held him dear.

For any pupil, or member of staff, the prayer room down the RE corridor on Beechdale site will be made available for those who are struggling with this loss, or the loss of any dear to them.

In the prayer room there is space to reflect and pray, to draw or write a memory that will be collected and made into a book, and an opportunity to light a tea light in Mr Calvert’s memory.

If you’d like to post a comment as a form, please use the comment section below and we will collect all the messages and memories into a book for you.

  • Mr Calvert made us feel safe on the corridors of Trinity everyday. He showed his care for staff and students and was continually supportive; it was clear how deeply Mr Calvert cared. He showed his care by helping people and was always willing to share his time. Mr Calvert treated everyone with love and had their best interests at heart – even in difficult situations. As a form tutor, Mr Calvert talked about his family (particularly his children) and you could tell how much joy they brought him and how much he valued them. It’s hard to put into words this huge loss but we are very grateful we had the opportunity to know Mr Calvert.
