3/6/24 – Week 31

Day 1 – Head

We begin our prayer today with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit, Amen

Our scripture today is where the words we hear at Mass come from.

This week we will be having a lunchtime Mass on Thursday in the Chapel on the Kingsbury site. The Mass will begin around 12:35 and will finish in time for both Staff and Students to enjoy their lunch.

We end our prayer with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Day 2 – Heart

We begin our prayer today with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit, Amen.

What can you remember from yesterday’s scripture?

  1. Where did the disciples go after the last supper?
  2. Finish the line from Jesus. “This is my blood, which seals …?
  3. Where did Jesus say he would drink the new wine?

This week we have been focusing on the Eucharist.

The word Eucharist means thanksgiving.

Jesus teaches us all to be thankful for what we have and to also give thanks to God for all he provides us.

Today take a moment to listen to the music below and reflect on the things within your life that you can show thanks to God for.

Let us thank God for all of these things as we say:

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

We end our prayer with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Answers:

  1. Mount of Olives
  2. God’s covenant
  3. In the Father’s Kingdom

Day 3 – Hands

We begin our prayer today with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit, Amen.

The word Eucharist means thanksgiving.

Today let us think about those within our lives that deserve our thanks.

We sometimes can struggle to thank those who greatly effect our lives. Those who we see each day, those who’s work gets done in the background, those who we may not see at all.

Take a moment to look around your classroom. There maybe someone who has helped you out with some important work recently that you forgot to thank, or a friends who has lent you a pen or your form tutor who has reminded you of a important deadline.

Take a moment to thank those around your classroom.

Now when we leave our form today. Think about who else you should thank and do so during this week.

We finish by thanking God for all he provides us by saying together:

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

We end our prayer with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
