Gather
Today is an opportunity to make form time feel different and distinct. You could choose to dim the lights to make the space feel different. While in Lent we won’t provide instrumental music, but if you would prefer, you can find your own.
We begin our time together as we invite you to make the Sign of the Cross
R./ In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The opening prayer can be led by anyone, yourself or a volunteer, you could even crate a rota for each week so everyone gets a turn.
Let us pray,
Lord Jesus Christ,
You give us yourself to eat
Help us to listen to you today,
And so nourish ourselves with your Word
We ask this in your name.
Amen.
The Word
Every time we come together we’ll explore a different part of God’s story, starting at the beginning and journeying through the year. Again, there is an opportunity for anyone who feels comfortable to read the scripture (image on the left) out loud.
You could then have a period of silence to think about what you’ve heard or discuss what you’ve read as a class.

Each week we’ll respond to the scripture in different ways, so play the video below and follow along to explore this chapter of our story.
Mission
We’ve heard how we can live out our faith today in the video, think about what this might mean for you as we share the closing prayer – again anyone can lead this with the class

Lord Jesus Christ,
You put in our hearts a hunger for you
Satisfy that hunger today,
And help keep us from temptation.
In your name we pray.
