Gather
Today is an opportunity to make form time feel different and distinct. You could choose to dim the lights to make the space feel different. You are welcome to use this instrumental music to make the atmosphere a little more upbeat!
We begin our time together as we invite you to make the Sign of the Cross
R./ In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The opening prayer can be led by anyone, yourself or a volunteer, you could even crate a rota for each week so everyone gets a turn.
Let us pray,
Heavenly Father,
we come before you with open hearts,
just as the crowds listened to Peter on the day of Pentecost.
Help us to hear your word clearly today
and to recognise Jesus as Lord and Christ in our lives.
Give us courage to turn back to you,
to seek forgiveness for our sins,
and to follow you with faith and trust.
Send your Holy Spirit upon us,
so that our hearts may be changed
and our lives may reflect your love and truth.
May this time of prayer and reflection
draw us closer to you and to one another.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
The Word
Every time we come together we’ll explore a different part of God’s story, starting at the beginning and journeying through the year. Again, there is an opportunity for anyone who feels comfortable to read the scripture out loud.
You could then have a period of silence to think about what you’ve heard or discuss what you’ve read as a class.

Response
Each week we’ll respond to the scripture in different ways, so play the video below and follow along to explore this chapter of our story.
Mission
We’ve heard how we can live out our faith today in the video, think about what this might mean for you as we share the closing prayer – again anyone can lead this with the class
Let us pray,
Lord Jesus,
thank you for speaking to our hearts through your word.
As those first believers were baptised and began a new life in you,
help us also to live as your faithful disciples.
Fill us with the joy and strength of the Holy Spirit,
so that we may share your love with others
through our words and actions.
Keep us faithful in times of doubt,
hopeful in times of difficulty,
and united as your people.
May we go from this place renewed in faith,
ready to follow you each day.
Amen.
We end our time together as we invite you to make the Sign of the Cross
R./ In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
