29/04/2024 – Week 27

Day 1 – Head

We begin our prayer today with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit, Amen.

Let us begin today with our scripture from the Gospel of Matthew.

We thank God for all of our talents and gifts that we can use to be an example for others to witness. We give thanks as we say together:

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, Amen.

We end our prayer with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Day 2 – Heart

We begin our prayer today with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit, Amen.

Yesterday we look at a piece of scripture from Matthews gospel.

To begin our time of prayer today lets see how much you remember about the scripture.

  1. In the scripture Jesus says “a city on a hill cannot be” What comes next?
  2. Who does Jesus say will be praised when we shine before others?
  3. What can we do to shine and give light to our environment?

When we think of the word Witness we can think about seeing the good in others but throughout the bible to word witness had other meanings.

We finish our day by saying:

Thank you lord for opening our eyes to witness the good you bring into the world. We thank you for allowing us to see your goodness in those around us. Lord we Thank you.

We end our prayer with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Day 3 – Hands

We begin our prayer today with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit, Amen.

Today let us think about our own gifts and talents.

Listen to the question below and reflect on your gifts and talents:

What is something you are proud of ?

What gift or talent that you posses are you thankful for?

How does that gift or talent help those around you?

Now look around you in your form room. What can you witness in your classmates. What gifts and talents do you witness in them.

Take some time tell those in your form what goodness you witness in them.

Do this as the song below plays.

Let us this coming week praise and witness the Goodness we see in those around us. Let us thank God for all of our amazing gifts and talents.

We thank him by saying together:

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

We end our prayer with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
